Phillip Island

Known for its population of Little Penguins and for being the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, Phillip Island offers a diverse range of activities and attractions, all densely packed into 101 square kilometres. The island is located only ninety minutes from Melbourne, a perfect location to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Come on a day trip, or stay overnight in a hotel or holiday park.

There are many ways to explore nature on Phillip Island, from encounters with penguins, koalas, and seals to walks along the coastline. Depending on the time of year, you can either go whale watching or stargazing to catch a glimpse of the Southern Lights. Phillip Island also has pristine beaches perfect for swimming, surfing, and kayaking.

Phillip Island also has plenty to offer for lovers of culture and history. Visit the National Vietnam Veterans Museum or learn more about Antarctica at the Antarctic Journey. Take home pieces from local artists after browsing the many art galleries on the island. After a day out, consider visiting a farmers market for local produce and souvenirs.
